We created uQualio to be a video-based learning platform that simplifies course creation, including ethical AI tools to add features and lower your costs. Through eLearning, the platform makes learning engaging and effective for your users (employees, customers and other stakeholders), wherever they are. It is scalable for maximum value and minimal expense.
We make it possible for any Subject Matter Expert (SME) to share good knowledge. Traditional LMS platforms are boring; everyone goes to YouTube nowadays to learn. So we looked at that format instead, adding quizzes to improve knowledge retention and tests to provide documentation. Its straightforward design enables you to onboard and make your first course on Day 1.
Co-Founder and CEO
Hatla thought of the creation of uQualio as the result of her rich and diverse background. With an MSc in both Business and Psychology she has a true understanding of how the world – and people – work. As a female/woman entrepreneur, she has always championed equality – including using her work to support many social causes.
Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer (CPO)
Christian developed the uQualio platform. An MSc in Electrical Engineering led to extensive work in EdTech, FinTech, ERP, and enterprise software. His involvement in so many areas of technology, including policy and mentorship, helps him to understand the technology-human connection. This also has influenced his desire to make learning more accessible to all. He is that rare IT guy who also understands business.
Known to us simply as Hatla and Christian, these partners in business and in life have deep experience at the highest levels of the corporate and technical worlds. While they are sometimes a study in contrast, they are united in their devotion to making the world a better place.
The Danish video LMS platform was destined to be created. By this time, Hatla and Christian had seen what did not work, where both humans and technology failed accessibility to learning. Hatla’s work at large companies revealed the limitations of traditional knowledge sharing and learning methods. Rigid webinars, classroom training, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) failed in engaging diverse learners. The result is that the key objective of learning fails – the opposite of what learning is supposed to achieve.
Christian saw that technology could do more and had the potential to bridge gaps in many areas. Christian and Hatla were constantly educating themselves on how learning works in all types of people – in fact, they still do this. They realized they could create a video learning platform that addresses the roadblocks to learning they had witnessed.
uQualio was founded in 2017 in Copenhagen as a Profit with Purpose, providing a video learning platform for every type of business. But also with the budget-friendly scalability and ethical AI tools to work as effectively for start-ups, NGOs, very small businesses, and SMEs as it does for global companies needing enterprise solutions.
To make an ethical, accessible, and straightforward video learning platform for everyone. We help all types and sizes of organizations create high-quality video training while advancing global access to education.
We truly believe uQualio’s mission is to empower organizations of all sizes to share knowledge simply and ethically. We provide an intuitive video learning platform—enhanced by responsible AI, to help SMBs, start-ups, NGOs, and global businesses create high-quality training that is accessible, affordable, and impactful. As a Profit with Purpose company, we are committed to supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) #4 by making quality education available to all.
Our vision is a world where every person, regardless of location, background, or resources, has access to affordable, high-quality learning that empowers them to grow, contribute, and thrive.
Dreams are what happen during sleep. A vision is a dream nurtured by a strong belief in its possibility, the constant pursuit of knowledge to understand it, and the drive and hard work required to make it happen. This is how strongly uQualio believes in our vision. We see a world where the light of learning illuminates the darkness of ignorance.
We don’t seek to be different for the sake of being different. We are addressing anything that stands in the way of making quality learning accessible to all. So, we are always learning ourselves, about how learning works differently for others. We researched how ethical AI can be used to reduce costs to users and help them develop effective courses quickly. We are open about your rights as the data owner and all legal policies. And we love to hear from you and what you’d like help with.
uQualio was the result of a passion to help the world. An educated world requires quality education available to all (UN SDG #4). We are driven to this purpose in order to increase wealth, reduce poverty, improve health, prevent injustice & inequality, drive sustainable growth and protect the planet. We operate as a Profit with Purpose company, and we never forget that.
Part of being a Profit with Purpose means that we make our platform available to as many as possible. This includes maintaining a lean and effective company structure to keep prices down. uQualio’s AI Manifesto shows how we leverage ethical, cutting-edge technologies to boost speed, efficiency, and accessibility. More importantly, we do this while maintaining full respect for human oversight and trust. We also work from a development roadmap for continuous improvement. This makes uQualio much more affordable while also making it simpler to create courses from Day 1.
Learning should be straightforward for learners to get the knowledge they need most. But it should be fun! Designing learning experiences with user engagement encourages participation, piques curiosity, and provides long-term skill retention. The most potent and lasting rewards excite and unite all to a common vision.
Why make learning boring when it may already be difficult? Incorporating gamification like non-graded quizzes into lessons can make required compliance tests more interesting. Even fun. More importantly, these quizzes help move learning from temporary work memory to short-term memory, This aids recall and retention for the graded tests at the end of a course, when required. If your employees are required to take ISO, GDPR and other courses for compliance, uQualio provides tools to make learning more fun and effective.
The world is our community, and we learn from each other. Designing for how each of us learns best combined with adding to our global expertise on successful learning provides the best outcomes. This collaborative effort with all learning stakeholders brings communities together while respecting the individual.
We believe learning should meet people where they are. Our platform enables tailored learning paths and flexible course delivery so every user can succeed in their own way. Making learning accessible to all reflects a commitment to the world community. Knowing that we all learn in different ways and incorporating these options on our platform also shows respect to the individual.
We take inspiration from famous literary character Pippi Longstocking’s fearless creativity and can-do attitude. For uQualio, Pippi represents resilience, generosity, playfulness, curiosity, courage, and a kind and open heart that reflects her belief in making the world better. These are traits that we incorporate into every aspect of our business, creating innovative solutions while helping others.
Pippi Longstocking is the fictional character in a series of children’s books by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Pippi exhibits resilience and is always facing new challenges and eager to learn about the world around us. We built our platform to adapt and grow with diverse industries, evolving training needs, and rapidly changing technologies.
The Pippi Spirit encourages us to FAIL – that is, to know that the First Attempt In Learning is positive. We must keep trying in order to continuously improve and reach our goals. uQualio is as much about our own continued learning as it is in helping others to learn.
Like Pippi, we challenge assumptions, believe in our own strength, and refuse to be limited by “what can’t be done.” It led us to build a simple, powerful, self-service video learning platform. The Pippi Spirit drives us to create solutions that make learning easier and more accessible for everyone.
Our mission helps our customers directly and leads to our vision of making quality education accessible to all. Profit helps nurture the purpose and we are a better world for it.
We want to end the era of clunky LMS tools that overcharge, underdeliver, or leave learners disengaged.
To stop the cycle of training that wastes time, drains budgets, and leaves teams unprepared.
We are on a mission to make quality education accessible to all. A world where knowledge isn’t locked behind paywalls or outdated systems.
We created uQualio because learning should be straightforward, fast, and for everyone. We strive to make this a reality.
For the founders who wear too many hats. For the ops leaders navigating endless compliance demands. For growing teams without the burnout.
We built uQualio to shine the light of learning on the darkness of ignorance.
So much of our difference lies in our mission, vision, and core values. We would love to be the most-accessed video learning platform in the world, but not for the reason most businesses would. We are a Profit with Purpose, and as such, being the most-accessed platform would mean that we are literally making access to quality learning universal. Donating our video LMS and expertise to NGOs like EdViCon had a real impact on international learning post-COVID.
The Profit with Purpose model allows us to help those who work to help solve the world’s problems. Imagine a start-up that uses VR to help patients with schizophrenia. Or an NGO working in an international project to help university students learn effectively during COVID restrictions. Even a small manufacturing firm went from large written manuals to microlearning training videos for their customers.
The magic is that we are able to support those who are making a better world, while also supplying ALL customers with an economical, scalable and highly effective video learning platform. The continuous improvements to aid in learning are intended to help everyone to learn better. On a PC, a laptop, your phone. In the office, your home or in a remote village that is learning a new way to keep their water safe.
As entrepreneurs, we love aligning our business with a mission that goes beyond profit!

According to Nordic Learning Principles, the best way to get educated citizens who support democracy is to make learning available for anyone and free/almost free.
Being based on Nordic Learning Principles, our video education platform starts at an incredibly low price point and offers a NO-OBLIGATION, 14-Day FREE trial, with self-service onboarding – so anyone can start sharing knowledge easily with our all-in-one course creation software.
Thanks to our “product-led growth” marketing strategy, which allows us to keep the price low. It eliminates the need for creating and maintaining a huge Sales Team that otherwise would have made uQualio more expensive. This, in turn, also enables our online training solution to meet almost any training needs.
On the technical front, our cloud-based video learning platform is based on globally accepted and widely used technologies, which make it possible to create video-based training courses for anyone with a smartphone/computer/tablet and internet connectivity.
Pippi Longstocking is the fictional character in a series of children’s books by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Pippi is creative, generous, strong, and playful, with a wild imagination, an appetite for adventure, the confidence to be herself, and an “I’ll do what I want, how I want” attitude.
uQualio, as we know it today, is the outcome of years of research and development, and continuous improvements – of course, with lots of input from our customers. That is why we believe that our video learning platform is the right, most effective, and easiest way to learn today.
Surely, learning through YouTube videos is super-easy, which is why everyone, including kids and adults, today uses this platform to learn and find solutions to a variety of problems. uQualio too follows the video approach, which, in a way, makes it a “White-Label YouTube” for business and education.
However, uQualio differes from video-streaming platforms as it has a range of additional features. First, it allows you to add quiz questions to courses, so you can track if people have seen your video or answered the questions. Second, it allows you to get feedback from existing users. Third, on the uQualio eLearning LMS, the customers own their data as we do not sell Big Data, nor do we use user information for advertising.
We had been told that making a self-service onboarding LMS platform was impossible, but with our “Pippi” approach, we took it as a challenge – and the result is that we now have developed a disruptive new way of making video-based training – which is user-friendly, powerful, and affordable.
Social learning platforms have a variety of features. Most of these features tap into the active learning benefits to make training more engaging and effective.
uQualio is an innovative social learning platform that allows you to upload or create bite-size video courses with functionality like practice and social interaction that ensure optimal comprehension and mastering of the material in the eLearning videos. The videos help learners easily digest the information and the added quizzes make information retention a breeze. Plus, the interactive quizzes can be turned into a team challenge that can make training even more exciting as collaboration comes into play.
Gamification is your way forward if you want to encourage active learning in any setting. Research has shown that incorporating competitive gamification into courses improves learning outcomes.
The gamification elements in uQualio allow you to empower learners with rewards and badges. This helps incentivize learning as the learners have multiple levels to complete, motivating them to retake the courses several times. Overall, by incorporating video material, gamification, and social sharing, uQualio optimizes learning speed and improves learning outcomes.
A positive feedback loop is a crucial component of social learning platforms that facilitates the continuous improvement of courses, helping everyone stay updated and be more effective. The uQualio video education platform allows users to share feedback through text, video, or screen recording.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals are 17 global goals that were established to create a better world by 2030. Their key objectives are to end poverty, fight inequality, and address the urgency of climate change.
At uQualio, the UN Sustainable Development Goals # 4 ‘Quality Education’ guides our objectives and the purpose of our business: “Making the world a better place by helping people perform better and be happier.”
We believe that education can influence individual actions to make the world a better place. For this reason, uQualio provides an end-to-end online video learning platform, so you can share knowledge through bite-size video courses and change the world around you. We sell the platform to businesses, but at the same time, donate it to NGOs that are trying to make a difference for the greater good.
Furthermore, to make its all-in-one learning platform more efficient, uQualio can integrate with a variety of apps, including Synthesia, Elai, Colossyan, Unsplash, Stripe, and Google. It also offers a generic API to allow integration with almost any third-party apps.
uQualio is a cloud-based video learning platform which is based on democratic Nordic learning principles according to which, learning should be available for anyone, and free/almost free. At uQualio, we strive to make training (or learning) easy and affordable for everyone.
The uQualio’s bite-sized training platform offers users with agile, lean, and intuitive ways to quickly access the required knowledge, just when they need it. uQualio is a well-designed dynamic microlearning (DML) platform, which reflects the philosophy of a corporate LMS, but without being limited by the cumbersome and non-dynamic nature of such platforms.
Here are some key attributes of uQualio that makes it one of the smartest choices for learning and training today:
uQualio is a cloud-based online video eLearning training platform with self-service capabilities, which provides you with the ability to create bite-size video courses for almost all types of training; all by yourself. Video guides have been built into the system everywhere, which means that you don’t need any technical expertise or help from a professional to do video training – you have the help you need to ensure just-in-time learning or lean learning.
Right from signing up and customizing the dashboard, to creating courses and sharing them; everything is super-easy on uQualio. Moreover, the “Video Guide”’ feature of our video education platform makes it effortless for us to help you every step of the way in a digital environment. This also helps keep the price significantly low, as we offer digitized peer training, allowing one explanation to be used countless times – which, in essence, is one of the real benefits of video training.
It is uQualio’s founding CEO Hatla Færch Johnsen, who has personally created all the “Video Guide” tutorials to give a humanized touch to online assistance – which also allows you to get to know the people behind the company.
