uQualio is excited to add more to the text-to-voice accessibility on our platform. What will this mean to you? We thought you’d never ask!
Text-to-Voice Accessibility – A Key Component for All We Stand For
Yes, we’re banging the accessibility drum again – it’s key to bringing learning to as many as possible.
Here is our Accessibility Statement in part:
At uQualio, we are committed to ensuring that our website, platforms, and learning solutions are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. We continually strive to meet and maintain the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards, which serve as the benchmark for digital accessibility across Europe and globally.
Our goal is to provide an inclusive experience for all users by designing courses, interfaces, and features that can be used with assistive technologies, screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other accessibility tools.
You may find our most recent self-reported WCAG audit results for our website and the results for our LMS platform.
How Does the Text-to-Voice Feature Specifically Help Learners?
Sometimes our AI tools help those creating the courses, and sometimes they are there for the end user. Naturally, someone who is visually impaired will benefit from text that is also converted to audio. Additionally, some learners perform better when hearing training materials instead of reading them. Some people even prefer to use both to be able to retain the information. The more learning methods provided, the more learning becomes open to all.
Oh, and text-to-voice is a FREE add-on to ALL customers! And it’s even more powerful if you’ve added Dynamic AI Translation.
Hands-free Listening Translates to Hands-on Learning
Let’s say your course is intended to show your customers how to make a technical change on a new product you sent them. They bought an upgrade component to bring their Wally’s Widget version 2.0 to version 3.0. You made your course to show the customer how to quickly perform the upgrade themselves. This was done to save them money and the time to send in their older version to your upgrade department.
Now your customer can bring their laptop or even their smartphone to the Widget version 2.0, listen to the directions in the course, and get to making that upgrade faster. Don’t you love solving a customer problem and giving yourselves more time to develop new innovations?
Establish the Voice of Your Company – Literally
Here’s the new part. You probably struggle with whose voice to use for your audio output. In the days before advanced voicemail, the receptionist perhaps had that welcoming voice representing the company. But what if you could translate the text to the same voice – even if translated into another language?
With text-to-voice, you can now set a Default Voice (or voices) to serve for all your translations. What’s more reassuring than hearing a voice you know and trust? We are even working on text editor AI features that can make the writing better… coming later this year.
Raise Your Voice – and Your Game – Today!
Seriously, a video LMS platform that simply helps your learners, um, learn. Risk nothing with a free 14-day trial or sign up for one of our weekly Office Hours events to ask more about text-to-voice accessibility.
If you are an existing customer interested in adding a Default Voice to the platform, just write to support@uqualio.com or use the Chat feature in the Admin section of the platform.
