The Challenge

SecureFirst needed a dependable e-learning platform to deliver customers cybersecurity awareness and GDPR training as part of their broader compliance offering. The goal was to bring a complete solution to market quickly – without investing extensive time and resources into evaluating multiple tools or building a system from scratch. It was essential that the platform be reliable, intuitive, and easy to integrate into SecureFirst’s existing infrastructure while maintaining the high standards expected for customer-facing security and compliance services.

The Solution

SecureFirst selected uQualio as the integrated e-learning component within their cybersecurity platform. The platform enables SecureFirst to offer structured training programs, allowing customers to access courses, complete exams, and document compliance with cybersecurity and GDPR requirements. uQualio required minimal setup time, integrated smoothly with SecureFirst’s existing systems, and provided a stable, user-friendly experience. The Result

This in turn helped reduce development and evaluation time by an estimated 200 to 300 hours. Full Transcript of Interview with Dion Grydell, Founder and CEO of SecureFirst

Q: Please, Dion, tell us a bit about you, your company and what your company does?

“So I’m Dion. I’m the CEO and founder of SecureFirst, a cyber security company trying to help the small to midsize business build a great cyber defence.“

Q: And what was your problems before you looked at uQualio?

“We wanted to build a learning platform either ourselves or find someone who could supply us with a platform because we want to do awareness training and phishing simulations for customers. And the learning platform market is a big market. From a technology standpoint that is not something that I’m that capable of. So, finding uQualio was kind of a a homerun for us because I didn’t need to do a whole lot of market research to try and figure out if there were some open-source solutions we could use. uQualio is fairly close to where SecureFirst is located. So, both the product and the support were top notch and so an easy choice.“

Q: How did you discover us? How did you hear about uQualio?

“Ah. I’m not sure I remember. I think it was someone from my network who said I should have a chat with Christian from your team. I think it was through network.“

Q: Then what was your problem when you were thinking about buying software, what was it that put your fears to rest about buying uQualio?

“Primarily the team – you, Christian and the others. First and foremost the support and the personalities. You speak as I do about my own product – very passionately about it.

So I was fairly certain quite fast that it was more than enough for us. And the few questions that we had about the technologies and the API stuff, it was just fixed right away. So yes, very reassuring!“

Q: And so what made you choose uQualio over anything else you could have done?

“I think for the most part it seemed like a finished product. It seemed like something that we could fairly quickly integrate into our own platform, get up and running instead of using hundreds of hours in trying to find a solution, then figuring out that it had some sort of feature that we needed that it didn’t have or stuff like that. uQualio seemed finished from the get-go and then on top of that with the team. It was just an easy choice.“

Q: Today you have started using the uQualio platform. Can you tell me how you use it?

“We provide e-learning on cybersecurity and GDPR for our customers. So, we use the platform to provide our customers with access to their own courses, where they look at all the content and they take their exam and then they are compliant with cybersecurity and GDPR best practices.“

Q: And what results do you expect, or have you already gotten from using uQualio?

“Well, we are onboarding customers, so that’s the best result we could get! We have onboarded the first customers already fairly quickly. And we use the cybersecurity course as a spearhead for the rest of the SecureFirst platform and the other solutions we have. So, our go to market is based on the awareness training and phishing solution that we provide.“

Q: So what exactly do you like the most about uQualio?

“The team.”

Q: And about the platform.

“It’s just easy to use. It’s fairly intuitive and then the support is amazing. So, if we have any questions, if there’s some specific feature we’re looking for, then it’s just an e-mail away for Christian or from you Hatla. And uQualio feels like an enterprise product. But I want one locally. You want that personal connection with the provider that I have with you. And that’s what I get with uQualio.”

Q: So how do you feel that uQualio has helped your organization? Has it saved you training time? Saved you money? Help facilitate communication?

“So since we use it as an integrated product within our own cybersecurity platform, my guess is that we have saved 200 to 300 hours in finding other products, testing them, figuring out if they have the capabilities that we need for the eLearning for our customers. So, it required only a few meetings and a few hours of getting to know uQualio for us to be up and running and to move forward with creating the content, so our business is now up and running with this new service.

So a fair guess is 200, maybe 300 hours of saved time.”

Q: What kind of feedback have you received from your customers yet?

“The first initial feedback is is positive. It’s more on the video quality that we provide and the videos rather than the the platform itself. We do a fairly comprehensive onboarding with our customers. Both on the on the sales meetings and then on the later onboarding of of the customer. So, for them it becomes very intuitive and very ’we’re holding their hand’ through the entire process. ”

Q: And what about the future of training for your company? How do you envision that you could you can enable your scale and growth as a company?

“So when we get the time, that’s always the biggest issue, right? For anything it is about finding time. But we want to use the the platform to create sales training content for our partners. So we’re going to rely more on it for resellers to help us sell our products. We want to create all the training content for them. To help us position our company. The way we sell and the narration about all our products and all of that. We want to utilize uQualio for that as well. To provide a full kind of training course for all the new sales people and technical staff in Denmark and globally to help position SecureFirst.”

Q: Fantastic. And if you were to recommend uQualio to somebody who is looking for a platform, what would you say? Why would you recommend it?

“I think look at the completeness of the product. uQualio feels completed. It’s kind of well-rounded. It works, it’s stable. That – and the team – I think is the most important. There’re so many ways to utilize the uQualio platform. Either as we do to provide courses and sell courses or internally in a company. To educate your own staff and save the time in onboarding new employees and doing the same presentation over and over and over. You can do that in uQualio easily. There’re so many ways to use the platform that most companies can find some good place for the product that makes sense and will save them either time or money.”

Q: So if you were in one sentence to recommend uQualio you to your best friend, what would you say?

“That’s a tough one.

Stop doing repetitive information! Record what you know in a video and use uQualio to provide that content to whoever needs it.”

Q: And what advice would you give to others that are looking at potentially switching to video learning platform for their training needs?

“Oh, that’s maybe a little bit out of my expertise. That’s a areally tough question.”

Q: No problem at all. We’ve just added this question to know, if there’s something you have experienced in your search you did that think would be relevant for others to know?

“Ok. For us it was it was getting onboard a platform or onboard a platform and really quickly get up and running to get to market. That was the the big driver for us and our use case. So, the big driver for us was the speed on which you can adapt uQualio that was important for us and that I recommend others to look for too. Speed is really important to get a process flowing, no matter whether it is providing that internal information or using it as a sales product like we do, or wherever it might be.”
