Interview with Paul Dostal, Occupational Safety Coordinator
Pace Processing started using uQualio in 2020 and has been increasing its use over time – we sat down with Paul Dostal to hear about the choice and his experiences with uQualio.
Q: Tell us a bit about your company and what your company does?
We are a bakery that makes pizza, breadsticks, cupcakes, cakes, and burritos for customers across the U.S. We also have several partners that make yummy gluten and dairy free products.
Q: Why did you choose uQualio?
Our old training system was expensive and not very user-friendly, so we decided to explore other options when the contract expired. Actually, we looked at several platforms before deciding that the uQualio platform had the best mix of built-in features, ease of use, and price.
Q: How do you use the uQualio platform?
We use it as a continuous educational platform that leads our online staff training. We have a lot of complicated machines that require special knowledge to operate and maintain. We make in-house ‘how to’ videos and created courses for the set-up, maintenance, and cleaning of our machines, and use the platform to distribute courses, monitor staff compliance, and compile data.
Q: Has the uQualio platform helped with any of your pain points? If yes, how?
In the past, it was hard to get people to engage with their training. The staff felt it (their training) was a waste of time. Since we began using video eLearning with uQualio, our staff talk about the new things they have learned. A true game changer for us.
Q: Which features on the uQualio platform have you found to be the most valuable?
The close captions feature has helped us communicate effectively with staff who may have hearing deficits or speak other languages. Another big plus is being able to access standard operating procedures – both video and printable manuals, and QR codes for easy reference, 24/7.
Q: If you were to recommend uQualio to your best friend, what would you say?
It is fun and easy to use. Great support with excellent feedback time. The site is almost intuitive and has many useful features and integrations like NeuraLoom, which is a program that allows you to create AI rendered videos.
