Here we are in 2026! And this is our January 2026 Product News monthly round-up of development updates of the new year.
Missed the webinar but curious what our Engineering Team is up to? Read on!
What is the Product News Webinar?
This 30-minute monthly webinar brings you the most recent developments on our platform. We explain and demonstrate new features, fixes, and important news related to how you work with uQualio. We explain how they may help you as the admin / course developer. It may help your employees, customers or partners as learners. Our top Engineering team is here for you, headed by Christian Bjerre Nielsen (co-Founder and CPO).
How Do I Attend the Webinars?
These webinars are a special edition of our weekly Office Hours series of platform Q&A with our customers. For the webinar, we email invites to our users for the third Tuesday of the month at 3 pm (CET). (Psst – that’s 9 am EST).
We give you the highlights of our new features in case there is something you are especially interested in. You can send questions in advance, or ask during the live webinar.
If you cannot attend, no worries. We record the webinar and post it on our site where all our Product News recordings reside. Then we send you links to the recorded webinar, reviewing the highlights.
So What Happened in January’s Webinar?
This month we got to respond to more customer wishes and amplify the benefits to those who subscribe to our AI Content Generation feature. Topics covered reflect our ongoing development plans. These included:
1 – Report Saved Search: Improved Settings
We listened to our users when they wanted fewer columns set as default on reports. Instead, based on type of report, we selected the most logical fields for the system default. You have far less columns to review to find what you need.
Next, we opened up to allow the Admin to then add and subtract fields to create their own preferred default setting for different reports. The search default hierarchy for which report fields to display in which order goes from:
User -> Account -> System -> Report (all fields show)
Check out the Report Saved Search video from the webinar link after item 4 to see how this is done.
2– Security Improvements
In this case we made a security update to help prevent the malicious XXS injection. This is a more global solution to prevent a wrongdoer from inserting the injection into any platform text.
3 – AI Text-to-Speech on Course Pages
Text-to-Speech has been available for tests and quizzes for a while. For users who already have or would like to add AI Content Generation level or above to their subscription, it will now be available in more places.
Course titles, descriptions and other elements in text can now be played in audio, and a control added to change the speed of the audio, pause, stop, etc. Further planned improvements may also be found in the video segment in the webinar link further below.
4 – REST API Send Invite to Channels and Account
Previously, you could only share invite links for cohorts, but now the API allows you to send invites for accounts and channels. This can save some time for API users as you can create the invite and send it at the same time instead of two separate API calls.
