How uQualio works for WISE

The Challenge

Project WISE (Women, Inspired, Successful, and Empowered) is an Erasmus+ project with five partner organizations in Denmark, Lithuania, Italy, Greece, and Iceland. The coordinator is based in Lithuania. The Danish partner is We Are Entrepreneurs, founded by Diana Medrea-Mogensen.

Many women artisans struggle to earn a living from their craft. The project reaches expat women entering the job market, rural women over 40 facing socio-economic barriers, and artisans in rural Greece who “need support and new skills to make money of it.”

Project WISE needed a solution that:

  • Worked across five countries and languages
  • Taught business and digital skills
  • Suited learners with little time or money
  • Could grow with the project
Project WISE (Women, Inspired, Successful, and Empowered) is an Erasmus+ project with five partner organizations in Denmark

The Solution

Project WISE chose uQualio as its video training platform, because it’s multilingual, flexible, and scaleable.

The training has three modules across four sessions.

  • The first covers creative entrepreneurship, basic e-commerce, business development and budgeting.
  • The second covers portfolios, self-branding, networking, galleries and fairs.
  • The third looks at innovation, from ethnic design and zero waste to 3D materials.

“We train them in how to run their own business as a stepping stone onto the labor market here in Denmark.”

WISE using uQualio

The Result

Project WISE gives women artisans:

  • Practical business, finance and marketing skills
  • A portfolio and the words to present it
  • Knowledge of new trends and technologies in crafts and design
  • A chance to exhibit their work

The program was built to end with an exhibition in Lithuania, where participants show work they’ve created as NFTs.

Diana calls it “a very innovative way of displaying art today in the metaverse.”
