About Christian

Who is Christian Bjerre Nielsen?

Christian Bjerre Nielsen is the Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of uQualio, a video-based micro-learning platform founded in Copenhagen in 2017. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (1993) and brings more than 30 years of international experience in management, leadership, and software quality across the EdTech, FinTech, ERP, and enterprise software industries.

Christian was building eLearning before most organisations had heard of it. Back in 2000, he was CEO of one of the first eLearning companies in Denmark. In the years that followed, many of his roles involved training and competence building for both internal and external teams, from financial institutions to technology businesses. That hands-on experience with how people actually learn in a professional context shapes every product decision he makes at uQualio.

Before co-founding uQualio, Christian held positions as Development Manager at SimCorp and Head of Development at Schilling (ERP software publishing industry). That background in large-scale digital platform delivery, combined with his engineering discipline, gave him a direct view of how complex organisations struggle to share knowledge efficiently.

As CPO, Christian leads platform development and engineering, offshore development centres, customer support, and new product development. He also supports presales and marketing automation to ensure a smooth customer onboarding experience. His philosophy is practical: write the code correctly from the start, keep the architecture lean, and build for the single version that works for every customer at once.

Christian served as chairman of the IT University of Denmark’s Employers Panel for Software Development, Computer Science, from 2020 to 2024, having been a member since 2015. He is a member of the Danish ICT Industry Association policy board for Digital Competencies, a position he has held since 2022. Outside work, he tends his farm, hunts, cooks, and spends time with family and friends.

In Christian's Own Words

uQualio is the platform I needed as Development Manager with SimCorp.”

“Small bites that are used when you need them make people want to learn more.”

“Learning in the flow of work is just logical. Why spend time learning something you never need?”

“Why write bad code? It is just as fast to write the code correctly from the beginning.”

“I just love SaaS applications as a developer and product owner. There is just one version with all customers and very little work on upgrades, because there is only one version.”
