Fcode Labs uses uQualio for employee onboarding and employee training.
Before adopting uQualio, the company was struggling to do live orientation or train employees repeatedly. Another issue was the unavailability of free time in the resource personnel’s schedules to deliver these orientations, resulting in delays for the newly joined employees or missing some of them.
The company started looking for a structured way to deliver the orientations regarding company processes and procedures to new employees – which is also a mandatory requirement for ISO certifications.
Fcode Labs got to know about the unique capabilities of uQualio from its founders Christian Nielsen and Hatla Johnsen through LinkedIn. They chose uQualio’s video training platform as it resolved all their process-related problems. Additionally, they were impressed by the founders’ enthusiasm and the energy levels.
FCode Labs initially recorded two series of videos, explaining the processes and procedures within the engineering department and serving as the primary orientation for anyone joining the department. The concept of microlearning and the ability to shoot and distribute the training content fast are added advantages.
uQualio has enabled Fcode Labs to consistently provide orientations to the new employees without delays, with the added benefit of monitoring how well they have grasped the content. New hires can now watch the training content as many times as they want. Plus, the company can update some parts of the orientation without re-doing the whole thing.
The orientation through uQualio has saved the time of resource personnel for training as they no longer need to conduct training each time a new employee joins the company.
Thanks to uQualio, the different types of internal training at Fcode Labs are now more formalized than ever, eliminating the need to document them separately. Plus, the company is getting closer to receiving ISO9001 and 27001 certifications.
Fcode Labs particularly likes the Reports and User Management feature of the uQualio video eLearning platform. Buddhishan loves the flexibility of adding videos and attaching other resource documents, so that everything can be delivered as a package without the fear of missing anything – which could be the case if we followed a traditional method. He also likes the fact that there isn’t any limitation to the kind of content to be delivered.
Buddhishan appreciates the flexibility uQualio offers because now the orientation courses can be taken at the employee’s convenience, whereas the traditional method would’ve required finding free time for the trainer and adjusting the trainees schedule around it.
He also likes how easy it is to update small parts of the courses, and how easy it is for the management to see who is learning and who has not gone through the material, which is particularly important.
