New features

Here you have a short summary of the new feature and changes. Please see the details in the December 2022 Product News course. Here you also find the presentation for download.

Click on the link and go directly to the video topic that presents the changes.

Channel Sorting – new configuration incl. drag and drop

  • Channel Sorting is made more flexible as you can choose between ‘Drag and drop’ and ‘By Sorting Settings

‘Drag and drop’ enables custom sorting done manually on the channel page by the account manager or channel manager

‘By Sorting Settings’ – define if groupings ‘Pinned’ and ‘New’ are used at all

Define how many days ‘New’ should be shown on the courses

Questions – drag, and drop

  • Questions can be sorted using drag and drop
  • In a question, you can change the answer sequence by dragging and dropping. This saves a lot of effort if you want to reorder the answers. Previously you had to delete the answers and enter them in the correct sequence.

Saved Searches: Default searches and System searches

  • For our reporting and analytics applications in Users and Reports, we have made it easier to use data by adding default and system searches
  • uQualio defines one or more saved standard searches for each report. You can use the saved search as is or save it as your own search, which can be modified according to your needs.
  • It is now possible to set a default search for each report. This is the saved search, loaded automatically when the report is selected.
  • The report selection has been made clear by shifting from the report type drop-down to a tabbed layout with a tab for each report type.

Users: Remove roles, multi-assign

  • We have moved more user administrative actions into the ‘Manage…’ action to support the admin better
  • You must now confirm the reset of the password if more than one user is selected. This helps prevent accidental resetting for more than the intended user(s).
  • Multi-assign is simplified to have only two actions: Assign users to Courses and Assign Users to Groups. The two other options were almost never used as all assignments started with the users.

Course Page UX

  • It took too many clicks to download the QR code for a course or the link to a course. It is now a separate action for the admins.
  • The link button on topics has changed from ‘…’ to a link icon to make it more transparent that this is where you can the topic-specific link.

Other changes and new features

We have made several smaller changes and added new features: Video preview in Library and Feedback

Videos in the Library and uploaded as attachments to user feedback are now shown in the video previewer. You do not have to download the video first.

Course page – help for end users

  • We have made an English version for end-user help on the course page.
  • If you want to hide the user help, then go to Configuration -> Settings -> Course Page Widgets and turn off ‘Show User Help’.

Resource reuse – sorting for images and resources

  • Images are sorted according to created at descending. This way you get the newest images at the top of the list.
  • When you reuse files or links the list is now sorted according to the name. This is clearer than the random sort order you saw before.

Quick Created – upload multiple videos in one step

  • You can now upload multiple videos when you create a course via Quick Create
  • This simplifies creating new courses based on existing videos on your device or PC

Rate Limiting – DoS/DDoS prevention

  • As part of our ongoing security efforts, we have added rate limiting to the application. This will minimize the risk of a number of cyber-attacks including DoS/DDoS

Sneak preview

We are working on these features and expect to deliver most of them before we have the next product news webinar

  • User progress/status
  • Multi-assign simplification
  • Channel Sorting – show ‘new’ on drag and drop
