EdViCon Project kickoff meeting

As we have written earlier, uQualio Video4Learning is a partner in the Erasmus+ funded project EdViCon.

It stands for Design & Training on Portable Video Conferencing Toolkits & Online Applications for Higher Education.

About EdViCon

The EdViCon project, spanning from February 2022 to January 2025, aims to explore and enhance online teaching methodologies.

Basically, to recreate the interactive and engaging atmosphere of traditional settings such as large mathematics classrooms, design studios, or physics laboratories, the EdViCon project will actively rethink teaching approaches. Further, it will utilize portable video conferencing systems and innovative pedagogical designs that incorporate online tools to actively develop educational materials. These materials will facilitate learning for educators, trainers, and students alike.

Additionally, the project will devise a digital competence matrix to actively classify skills according to three distinct perspectives: the technology-centered view, a behaviorist standpoint, and the social interaction viewpoint.

Moreover, questionnaires based on this matrix will serve as personal development tools. It will enable individuals to actively reflect on skill gaps and mismatches. The aim is to mitigate these gaps through engagement with open-access educational materials, designed to foster desired knowledge, competencies, and skills.

Mainly, the EdViCon project focuses on three key areas:

  1. Information and communication technologies (ICT)
  2. Digital content, technologies, and practices
  3. Digital skills and competencies.
